Tracy's HR Lifts Braves past Dodgers
The Braves beat the Brookline Dodgers 7-3 on Tuesday night thanks to a 3-run homerun by Ted Tracy.
Tracy capped off a 3-3 night (3 RBI, 3 R) with his first career Yawkey League homer in the fourth.
Braves took an early 2-0 lead in the 1st on an RBI single from Ryan Ouellette (1-2, 2 RBI) and a
Sac fly to right field by Evan Schein. The Dodgers tied it up in the 3rd with 2 hits, 2 walks and a Sac fly. The
Braves answered in the bottom half of the inning with 2 more. Tracy led off the inning with a infield
single up the middle. Jeff Cashman drove him in with a triple and scored on a Sac fly by Ouellette. Dodgers ace
Shaun Farrar got 2 quick outs in the 4th before allowing back-to-back singles by the Sweeney brothers.
Tracy then hit his homer on a first pitch fastball deep to straightaway center to put the Braves up 7-2.
After scoring one more in the 5th, the Dodgers looked to make a comeback in the 7th. With no outs and a man
on first, Joe Patrolia laced a line drive to deep left field. Running at almost full speed, Tracy reached out to
make a terrific over-the-shoulder diving catch to halt any potential Dodgers rally.
